Pieter van Doorne studied economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and worked for Merchant Bank Kempen & Co in the nineties. From 2000, Pieter was closely involved in the start and growth of Booking.com where he worked as CMO until 2014. Currently Pieter is an investor, mainly in the technology and healthcare sector. Skiing and golf are two of his passions in sports. Pieter is the 2019 Dutch Senior Golf Champion and has played in the Dutch Senior Team for the last 4 years. His passion for Africa came at a young age when his parents took him on safari for the first time. Pieter has co-founded Green Safaris, a fund for eco-friendly lodges in Sub-Sahara Africa.
