Across 13 African countries, more than 5,000 passionate and dedicated African Parks staff contribute to the long-term management of protected areas. 97% of our staff are nationals in the countries where they operate. Conservation outcomes are delivered through collective effort, and each role contributes to the functioning of healthy ecosystems, strengthened governance systems, and long-term landscape management grounded in partnership and shared responsibility.
Park-level teams work alongside national authorities and local communities to restore and effectively manage landscapes, making them ecologically, socially and financially sustainable so that they can deliver a multitude of benefits for people and wildlife.
The work we do spans areas such as ecological monitoring, operations, and information technology. Organisational and park-level boards, senior leadership, and regional teams provide oversight, ensuring clear accountability and measurable results.
