Mirjam de Blécourt

Mirjam A. de Blécourt is a leading employment lawyer and member of the Senate (Eerste Kamer) of the Dutch Parliament for the people's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). 

Mirjam is head of the Baker McKenzie's Amsterdam Employment and Pensions Law practice group and member of the Firm's European Employment Group Steering Committee. Until July 2013 and for seven years in total, Mirjam was a member of the board of Baker McKenzie Amsterdam.

Mirjam is admitted as a lawyer focusing on labour and employment law. She is the name giver and founder of a collective redundancy system called the 'De Blécourt Method.'

Furthermore Mirjam has always been very active in the Diversity & Inclusion sphere, both outside and inside the Firm. Recently Mirjam wrote her autobiography 'Vrijgevochten', a personal story of how she became a successful international law firm partner, while starting a family and being a mother of two sons.
