Jean Yves served as the Head of Technical Education and Vocational Training at the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Benin for five years. He was also the Coordinator of the Agricultural and Craft Vocational Training Program (PAFPAA) for HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Benin.

Passionate about community work, Jean Yves joined African Parks in Pendjari as the Community Development Manager in 2017, where he contributed to park management by maintaining good socio-political relationships and implementing the Community Development Program. He was Pendjari National Park´s Deputy Director from March 2019 to January 2020 and was finally promoted to Director of the park, a position he held for two and a half years before becoming the Stakeholder and Liaison Manager for Pendjari and W-Benin National Parks in July 2022.

In July 2024, he was appointed as the Director of the Management Unit of the Fondation Odzala-Kokoua-Lossi, in the Republic of Congo.
