Ms. Dolly Chanda is an accomplished development professional with over 15 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, community development, sustainable livelihoods, and climate change adaptation. She has held leadership roles with Plan International, the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU), the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), and Kasanka Trust.
Her work focuses on promoting climate-smart agriculture, forest protection, ecosystem management, and community-led development to strengthen the resilience and wellbeing of rural communities and vulnerable groups. She brings proven expertise in project management, participatory planning, community engagement, and capacity development, with a strong track record of leading multi-sectoral initiatives that link conservation, livelihoods, and social empowerment.
Dolly Chanda Mwaka holds a Master’s in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from Mulungushi University, a bachelor's in development studies from the Zambian Open University, and a Diploma in Forestry from the Zambian Forestry College. She is deeply passionate about advancing sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven development that balances human wellbeing with environmental stewardship.
