Daniel van de Vyver

Dan completed his Master’s degree at Rhodes University in South Africa, addressing the effects of carnivore re-introductions within enclosed reserves. Dan then spent 11 years with South African National Parks, starting out as a student in Mountain Zebra National Park and working his way up to a Senior Section Ranger in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Dan joined African Parks at Iona National Park in May 2023, starting as the Conservation Manager, Dan has since moved over to the Field Operations Manager role in Iona.
