Marie-Michaire LIMA is a Beninese conservation specialist holding a Master's degree in Protected Areas Planning and Management from the University of Abomey-Calavi. He brings extensive expertise in ecological monitoring, protected area management, and GIS applications.
He joined African Parks Pendjari in January 2020 as an Assistant Conservation & Habitat Officer, where he played an active role in ecological monitoring programs, habitat management activities, wildlife surveys, translocation planning, and the supervision and technical support to the ecological monitoring team.
In January 2023, he was promoted to the position of Mapping, Data Management & Environmental Monitoring Officer, leading spatial data analysis, telemetry monitoring, and ecological database management to support conservation decision-making.
In July 2025, he was appointed as Acting Conservation & Habitat Manager for Pendjari National Park. In this role, he oversees ecological monitoring programs, leads habitat management strategies, and coordinates multidisciplinary teams in support of the park’s long-term biodiversity conservation.
