Issakha Gonney Guirki holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Urban Planning from the University of Rabat in Morocco. He then joined the Chadian administration and occupied several positions of responsibility: Delegate to the Ennedi Province Environmental Program, Manager of the Ounianga Lakes World Heritage Site and Deputy Secretary-General of the interdepartmental and multidisciplinary scientific committee for the implementation of the Ounianga Lakes Management Plan. He attended several training courses dealing with Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation for the Africa Zone. Recommended by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Fisheries (MEEP), Issakha now works as Park Manager of the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve.
