Mr Eugène Bouawa, originally from Central African Republic (CAR), is the current General Director of Studies, Planning and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Water, Forests, Hunting and Fishing of CAR. He holds a masters in Economic Policy Management and a masters in Analysis, Planning, Evaluation of Projects, Programmes and Public Policies and a Semi-professional Master's degree in Project Economics. With a long and successful career in the Ministry having formerly been the Director of Cabinet of the Ministry in charge of Water, Forests, Hunting and Fishing, he has also worked as the Former Coordinator of the Natural Resources Governance Project/World Bank, Former Coordinator of the Economic Observatory of the Timber Sector in the Central African Republic, Former Head of the Community Development Component (Rural and Urban Animation, Microfinance) of the Ecological Rehabilitation Project, Participatory Forest Resource Management Programme)/GTZ, Former Principal Microfinance Expert for the African Development Bank, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Forestry Development Fund, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Central African Wood Products Export Verification Programme, Chairman of the Central African Monitoring and Evaluation Network, General Rapporteur of the multi-stakeholder steering committee for the revision of the Central African Republic's forestry code, Member of the PRADAC/PURCAC/PGRN/World Bank steering committees, Focal Point and Co-editor of the National Development Plan at the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and International Cooperation.
