Five Star Rating for Ruzizi Tented Lodge

Akagera’s new Ruzizi Tented Lodge has a five-star rating on Trip Advisor, the world’s biggest online tourism review site.

The deck that overlooks Lake Ihema has impressed visitors and landed Ruzizi Tented Lodge a five-star rating on Trip Advisor

The 14-bed tented lodge, which opened in November 2012, has impressed visitors with its magical setting overlooking Lake Ihema, as well as quality service and cuisine.

I was very impressed with Ruzizi and I hope it maintains its high standards”, states the most recent review. "Stunning lakeside setting with hippo noises at night. Awesome!" says another. Other reviews include comments such as: "Idyllic setting next to the lake where you enjoy a drink and watch the sun setting. "Private, spacious tents with all necessary amenities...We were in heaven.”

And one of our favourite reviews: "This great facility is simply beautiful with trees left to grow through the thatched roof of the lodge, hippos right below our beautiful tent cabin and wonderful food well-served by a congenial staff. We have stayed in many tented camps in Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. This simply ranks at the very top.”
