Johannesburg, South Africa, 29 August 2025 - African Parks and Mandai Wildlife Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership focused on strengthening global biodiversity conservation and pioneering innovative nature finance solutions. The partnership underscores a shared vision to leverage complementary expertise, resources, and networks to drive meaningful conservation outcomes on a global scale.

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore, home to world-renowned wildlife parks that connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. It contributes to impactful conservation efforts through its support for projects focused on habitat restoration and community initiatives across Southeast Asia. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in uniting efforts across continents to protect biodiversity for future generations.

Piyush Gupta, Chairman of Mandai Wildlife Group, stated:

“Threats to ecosystems cross borders, so must our response. This partnership with African Parks is about two organisations from very different parts of the world coming together to create new pathways for conservation impact. Beyond sharing our conservation expertise, we look forward to exploring opportunities for coordinated marketing and the joint promotion of our parks and programmes, while raising awareness of key conservation issues to a wider audience.”

Peter Fearnhead, CEO of African Parks, added:
“Our partnership with Mandai Wildlife Group reflects a mutual understanding that the conservation of nature transcends borders; it is a global necessity. We must reframe how the world values nature, placing it at the core of our collective future. This collaboration enhances our capacity to drive impactful change, share knowledge, and inspire a global movement to halt biodiversity loss and restore ecosystems.”
