Sven Vrdoljak

Sven brings over 15 years of experience in Zambia’s conservation sector, with a focus on environmental education, fisheries conservation, and protected area management. He holds an MSc in Zoology and a PhD in Entomology, and has conducted conservation research across a range of ecosystems—from the wetlands, deserts, and fynbos of southern Africa to the tropical forests of Borneo.

A passionate conservationist, Sven is deeply committed to the sustainable management of Zambia’s rich fishery resources. He has worked extensively with government agencies, NGOs, local communities, recreational anglers, and tourism operators to promote inclusive, evidence-based approaches to conservation.

His work is grounded in a belief that lasting conservation outcomes are achieved through science-informed strategies and strong community partnerships.
