Shaibu Kadewere

Shaibu Kadewere joined African Parks in August 2022 in Liwonde National Park as a Developmental Field Operations Manager. He was deployed to Mangochi Forest Reserve as FOM in December 2023, before returning to Liwonde in a similar position in August 2024. Before joining the African Parks, he worked for the Department of National Parks and Wildlife from 2008 to 2022 holding different positions in law enforcement, extension and research. Shaibu has a good knowledge of birds and botanical species that are found in Malawi, and he feels at home watching the interaction of wildlife with their ecosystems.
