Rajiv was born in Sri Lanka and is now an American citizen. Educated at the University of California, Davis and he currently lives in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Rajiv currently serves as Senior Advisor to Creador, a regional private equity fund in Asia, focusing on Indonesia and Singapore. He is a principal with Keelback Consulting a conservation impact advisory group and is an advisor and partner to Super League, a global triathlon brand. Previously Rajiv was the CEO of New Hope Group – South East Asia, a private Chinese company that is one of the world’s largest animal feed companies and one of China’s largest integrated food companies. Previously, he was the CEO/Head of The Carlyle Group in Indonesia and for 10 years headed up UBS in Indonesia as both head of Investment Banking as well as Country Head for the final 3 years of his tenure there. He is a skilled mergers and acquisitions banker and has a strong network of relationships throughout Asia.

Rajiv is passionate about conservation and is currently involved as Chairman of the Leadership Council for TNC in Indonesia (he helped set up and leads the group of entrepreneurs and professionals working alongside the TNC CEO and Trustees); he is also a member of the TNC Asia Pacific Leadership Council and has provided advise to Dr. Galdikas and her Orangutan Foundation International.
