Rajiv Louis is Founder and CEO of PT Pelindung Alam Nusantara (“Guardian of Nature”)(PAN), an Indonesian conservation carbon investment and management company focused on protecting and restoring some of Indonesia’s most critical forest and coastal ecosystems. PAN's active and pipeline projects span over 650,000 hectares across Kalimantan and Sumatra, bringing institutional investment discipline to conservation at scale through high-integrity nature-based solutions.

Prior to founding PAN, Rajiv co-founded Carbon Growth Partners, a leading global carbon markets investment manager. He spent a decade leading UBS Indonesia as Head of Investment Banking and Country Head, and previously served as Managing Director of The Carlyle Group in Indonesia.

Beyond African Parks, Rajiv served on the Asia Pacific Leadership Council of The Nature Conservancy and has been a long-term advisor to Orangutan Foundation International, supporting Dr. Biruté Galdikas' work to protect orangutans in Borneo and supporting the wildlife conservation work of YIARI and Dr. Karmele Sanchez. He is also a board member of the Pho3nix Foundation, which brings sport and youth development programs to Indonesia and Africa.

Born in Sri Lanka and an American citizen, Rajiv has lived and worked in Jakarta, Indonesia for most of his adult life. He joined the African Parks Asia Pacific Advisory Group in 2019.
