Holding a Master's degree in the management and planning of protected areas, Sossa Lambert Zountchégnon has over ten years of experience in the conservation of large mammal species in West and Central Africa. His work primarily focuses on wildlife ecology, biodiversity monitoring, and the sustainable management of wildlife populations within protected areas and their surrounding landscapes. 

Since 2013, he has been actively involved in several research and ecological monitoring programs in major protected areas of Benin, particularly in Pendjari National Park and the transboundary W–Benin complex. His research interests include spatial dynamics of wildlife populations, large mammal monitoring, and the interactions between wildlife and human activities in conservation landscapes. 

Through these initiatives, he has contributed to the generation of scientific data and analytical insights that support evidence-based decision-making and the development of more effective conservation strategies. His experience combines scientific research, ecological data analysis, and technical support to protected area managers and conservation programs aimed at strengthening biodiversity conservation in the region.
