John Vogel

John holds an MSc in Nature Conservation from Nelson Mandela University and brings nearly a decade of expertise in protected area management. Currently, he serves as the Park Manager of Badingilo National Park in South Sudan. Originally from South Africa, John joined African Parks in 2020 as the Director of Research and Development at Garamba National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He has also held various leadership roles in both government and the private sector, where he has successfully coordinated a wide range of conservation and development projects.
