Jed Bird

Jed holds an advanced diploma in Nature Conservation and a diploma in Game Ranch Management as well as being a qualified pilot. For the past 17 years Jed has worked in the Addo Elephant National Park, in the private sector as a Reserve Manager of a well-known private reserve adjacent and open to the Kruger National Park and also spent 10 years with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife as a Game Capture Officer and Section Ranger in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Jed has experience in game capture, terrestrial integrity, and conservation management with a key focus on rhino management. He joined African Parks in 2023 and serves as the Field Operations Manager in the Kafue National Park in Zambia.
