Iván Phillipson

Began his career in 2000 as a student at Addo Elephant National Park. He completed all his FGASA levels, including Dangerous Game qualifications, and served as a trails guide at Addo until 2007.He then spent five years managing lodges in Botswana and Namibia, before becoming Reserve Manager at Kulala Wilderness Reserve, a role he held for three years.Following this, Ivan joined the Naankuse Group, where he was General Manager of the Neuras Wine and Wildlife Estate and later General Manager of the Zannier Game Reserve and Head of Anti-Poaching for seven years.In addition to his conservation work, Ivan has been an active member of the Namibian Police for 15 years and currently holds the rank of Warrant Officer First Class. He joined African Parks in May 2024 as the Field Operations Manager at Liuwa Plain National Park.
