Isabel Knauf

Isabel Knauf is a member of the Partners Committee of Gebr. Knauf KG (16 bn EUR turnover). She is the first woman in the EU to acquire a master’s degree in underground mining. She began her professional career at ThyssenKrupp, most recently as Division Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at ThyssenKrupp Steel AG. In 2002, she joined the Knauf Group, where she took responsibility for a number of international markets and laid the foundations for strong growth in these regions. In 2006 she became Member of the Knauf Group Executive Committee. Ms. Knauf is a member of several supervisory boards, including that of Continental AG, the Krupp Foundation, the Foundation for Family Businesses, and a lecturer at the Technical University of Munich. She also uses her governance expertise as a board member of the Applied Governance Circle.
