Agronomist. Retired from the European Commission (2017) where he worked for 35 years in the conservation sector of African Protected Areas, a sector that he largely contributed to create. Was at the origin of the main projects and programs financed by the European Union in Africa, in particular the rehabilitation project of the Pendjari Park in 1984, the first European financing in the sector followed by the rehabilitation projects of the Zakouma Parks in Chad and Virunga in DRC (formerly Zaire). A, among others, designed (in collaboration with Jean Marc Froment), developed and managed the PDRN programs in CAR and ECOFAC for all the countries of Central Africa.
