A long-time advocate for conservation, Edith has channelled her passion for species protection and habitat conservation into active leadership positions for more than three decades. She has been a Trustee of the Wildlife Conservation Society for 30 years and served as Vice Chair of that organisation. She has also been a Director and Vice Chairman of Rare Conservation. She has served on the International Council of Advisors for the National Geographic Society and is a Director of Panthera, Rainforest Trust, and the Lewa Conservancy in Kenya. She is a leading advocate for elephant and rhino protection efforts across Africa and has broadened her reach to large cat conservation in Asia, North and South America, and Africa. A native of California and England, she resides in New York City.
