Dudu Douglas-Hamilton joined African Parks in September 2024 as Regional Operations Manager of South Sudan and Ethiopia to oversee Boma, Badingilo and Gambella National Parks. She has lifelong experience in conservation and business in Africa having grown up in national parks in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. She spent seven years as Programme Manager at the Elephant Crisis Fund, developing grant strategies, building teams for impact in conservation, and executing grant programs with local and international stakeholders, as well as raising funds from corporate and philanthropic donors. In her earlier career she co-founded Africa Risk Consulting operating in 25 countries across the continent.  She is passionate about tackling the immense biodiversity crisis facing us, protecting Africa's most important natural landscapes, building a coalition of supporters to the cause, recruiting the best brains in the business to solve some of our greatest environmental challenges, and expanding knowledge and opportunity at a grass roots level.
