Craig attributes his passion for wild places to growing up in the wilds of Namibia and Swaziland. He holds a National Diploma in Nature Conservation and has been working in Protected Area Management for over 30 years. He worked for Provincial Government for 15 years in northern Zululand, South Africa. The bulk of this time was spent in iMfolozi Game Reserve where he went from Black rhino monitor, trails ranger, Officer in Charge of Wilderness Trails, Section Manager for three out of the five sections in the Park and finally Conservation Manager. In 2007 Craig joined African Parks as Park Manager for Liuwa Plain National Park, Zambia. He later moved to Bangweulu Wetlands as Park Manager and led a repositioning process for the project. Thereafter he led the initiation of the AP project in Liwonde National Park, Malawi and now Kafue National Park, Zambia. He has also spent time assisting other African Parks, Parks in Garamba in Democratic Republic Congo, Zakouma in Chad and Majete in Malawi.
