Oniya joined African Parks in 2022 as the Director for Community Development. With over 20 years work experience, she has developed creative solutions to business challenges by understanding the needs of consumers and how to drive behaviour change. Pursuing a passion for sustainability, she is now applying these skills to build better relations with communities and to promote conservation-compatible livelihoods. Oniya holds a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa, and an MSc in Sustainability & Business from the University of Leeds (UK). She has previously worked for Unilever and for SABMiller, and as an independent consultant for various small businesses.
