Sivha Mbake

Sivha Mbake was born in DRC.  She holds a BAC +2 (Licence) of science for University of Kisangani/DRC, also a Specialization in Tropical Biology, animal ecology, and awareness raising of the population to environmental problems and nature conservation from University of Würzburg in Germany and also a Master’s Degree of Science (MSc) in Conservation & Tourism from University of Kent in UK. In 1989, she started her career in Kahuzi -Biega National Park/GTZ project where she worked in different Positions from community conservation Officer, Research Manager to Coordinator of development Programme until 1999. From September 1999 to 2004 she worked for International Gorilla Programme as Country Programme officer in DRC. In 2005, she worked as an administrative and Technical Assistant to the East Africa Programme for Fauna and Flora International (FFI). From 2005 to 2006, Consultant for FFI responsible for developing the Community Conservation programme in Garamba National Park and hunting reserves.  From 2007-2011, she was appointed as Consultant for FFI, responsible for coordinating the implementation of community conservation Programme in GNP, Kundelungu NP and in the Kahuzi-Biega-Maiko-Tayna Landscape.  From 2012 up to date, she works for FFI as Manager, DRC Field Operations.
