Ildephonse Kambogo worked in Nyungwe National Park as a park guide and tourism manager from 2007 to 2018. He joined Rwanda Development Board, an agency in charge of fast-tracking economic development of the country formed in 2008, as a product development specialist and later as an ecotourism analyst being in charge of marketing Rwanda as an ecotourism destination in European and Asian travel markets. He was promoted to the position of tourism product development manager, in charge of developing, diversifying tourism products across the country, developing policies and plans related to tourism planning and development in Rwanda.

Ildephonse Kambogo has Masters of Science in Tourism Planning and Management and he is certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He attended various trainings in tourism both in South African and Japan and has attended various Tourism Trade Fairs both in Europe and Asia.

He joined African Parks in 2023 and he is bringing a wide range of experience as a Commercial Development Manager.
