Tom is a nature conservation and anti-poaching/security professional with extensive experience, both in the military, as a ranger and commanding officer of the Etosha Anti-Poaching-Unit in Namibia all the way up to the position of Director, the Okapi Wildlife Reserve in DRC with the current position as Security Coordinator of the WAP complex with African Parks. He has a degree in Nature oriented Forestry and Wildlife Management, is a very passionate Conservationist who has worked in dangerous and demanding environments with local communities and indigenous peoples. His leadership qualities paired with extensive practical experience makes it easy for him to engage positively with people in the bush as well as international donors and national officials from both security and conservation organizations.
