Irene holds a license in journalism and multimedia communications, as well as a master’s in international development and migration. She has worked since 2019 as the regional communications coordinator for humanitarian organizations, based in remote locations in several countries in Southern and Central Africa. Driven by her passion for conservation and nature, she joined African Parks in late 2022 as the Regional Media and Communications Manager for the Central Africa Region. Irene currently supports the National Parks and protected areas of Odzala-Kokoua in the Republic of Congo, Chinko in C.A.R., as well as Ennedi, Zakouma, Aouk and Siniaka Minia in Chad.
