Benoit grew up between Namibia, South Africa, and Tanzania, with his parents involved in wildlife conservation. This fortunate upbringing exposed him to the bush from a young age and developed an appreciation for nature and conservation. Holding an MSc in Conservation Science and with work experience in Africa, Asia, South America and the Sub-Antarctica, he has an understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in conservation and is particularly interested in driving impact in Africa. Benoit has been working in South Sudan since the end of the last civil conflict in 2018, leading Fauna & Flora's projects in two game reserves and Southern National Park in the west of the country. Currently, he serves as the Field Operations Manager for Boma National Park.
