Park Revenue Generation

Matusadona National Park holds extraordinary potential to become a leading safari tourism destination offering exceptional game viewing from both land and the lake, creating much-needed revenue for surrounding communities.

Concession agreements have been signed with existing operators Changa Safari Camp and Rhino Safari Lodge, the Tashinga campsite improved, and several wilderness camps opened.

An additional three lodges in the Nyaminyami Rural District Council are looking to reopen, and there is increasing reinvestment into other lodges and a burgeoning houseboat industry that supports many hundreds of people, all leading to greater stability in the area.
