It is with great sadness that we share that Markus F. Jebsen, a founding member of African Parks’ Asia Pacific Advisory Group, suddenly and tragically passed away on Sunday, June 13th. Markus was the Executive Chairman of MF Jebsen Group, a Hong Kong based family run company that can trace its origins back to the 19th century. He was also a staunch conservationist who had a deep passion for wildlife conservation and for African Parks. He supported several conservation NGOs and had personally invested in numerous large conservation and rewilding projects in Denmark, Romania, Australia and in particular Africa. Conservation in Africa was a deep passion of his, where he truly believed in the urgency and the need in protecting the continent’s remaining wild spaces. We have lost a champion for conservation, and a dear friend; and on behalf of everyone at African Parks, we extend our deepest and most heart-felt sympathies to his wife, Judith and his three children, and all who knew and loved him.
