Rob Walton

Rob Walton is the retired chairman of the board of Walmart. He is a member of the Environment Program Committee of the Walton Family Foundation and is a co-founder of the Rob and Melani Walton Foundation. He was a founding supporter of African Parks and, through the Rob and Melani Walton Foundation, has provided critical start-up funding for Akagera National Park in Rwanda and helped enable our work more generally. He also serves on the board of directors of Conservation International and is co-chairman of the Arizona State University Global Institute of Sustainability. Rob is also a member of the Mayo Clinic Arizona Leadership Council and is an emeritus life trustee of The College of Wooster. Rob is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and the Columbia University School of Law. He is married to Melani Walton and is the son of Helen Walton and Walmart founder, Sam Walton.
