Prof. Dr. Klaus Mangold (1943) studied law and economics at the universities of Munich, Geneva, Paris, London, Heidelberg and Mainz. Klaus Mangold is a former Board member of the world's largest companies from DaimlerChrysler AG, TUI AG, Conti AG, Metro AG to Alstom SA, to name a few. From 1999 to 2010 he was also Chairman of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations of German Industry.
Klaus Mangold is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Knorr-Bremse AG as well as Chairman of Mangold Consulting GmbH and holds executive positions at Rothschild & Co. He is also the founding member of the Executive Board of the Association of Friends of the Academy of Arts Berlin, member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Museum Berlin, Honorary Senator of the University of Freiburg and Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Since 2004, he is Commandeur de la Légion d’Honneur.
