Pierre-Armand graduated with a PhD in Tropical Geography in 2004, combining his studies with experience in the safari industry. For 15 years he worked as Consultant, and long-term Technical Advisor in Conservation and Protected Areas management, mainly in Central and Western Africa. Pierre-Armand was appointed by African Parks in March 2016, initially as a consultant for the development of the Greater Zakouma Ecosystem and Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve mandates in Chad, and then later as the Regional Director for the Conservation / Development Unit. Pierre-Armand was appointed as the Regional Director of Operations in Chad in September 2018.
