Pastor Dr. Cosma Wilungula was born on 26 January 1961 and studied in the Democratic Republic of Congo until 2010, obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Political and Administrative Sciences in 1988 and his Doctorate in Political and Administrative Sciences in 2012. In 2018, he graduated in Theology at the University Centre of Missiology (Alexandria School). From 1997 to 1999, he was appointed Representative Director of Barrick Gold Corporation in the DRC. He is an expert in public policy of nature conservation and management of National Parks, recognised worldwide. Between 2001 and 2005 he was the appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Anglogold Ashanti Kilo. From 2003 to 2005, appointed by Presidential Order as Director General of the Office des Mines d'Or de Kilo-Moto (OKIMO). 2005 to 2008, appointed by Presidential Order as Managing Director of the Congolese Institute for Nature Conservation (ICCN) by Presidential Decree n°05/066 of 03 August 2005. 2008 to date, confirmed by Presidential Order N° 08/004 of 12 January 2008 as Director General of ICCN. From 2005 to present, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Collaboration Transfrontalière-DRC-Rwanda-Uganda of Grand Virunga (GVTC). From 2012 to present, he is Reverend Pastor and Legal Representative of the ECEC Church. From 2012 to present, he is Professor at the University of Kinshasa in the Faculty of Social, Administrative and Political Sciences.
