Gwili has more than a decade of experience working with conservation projects, mainly in Kenya, but also Benin, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Tanzania and the UK. He joined the team in October 2021 after completing his PhD in Biodiversity Management with the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) at the University of Kent, where he researched biodiversity and ecosystem service conservation and restoration priorities on and around Mount Kenya. He works with our team to meet the park's conservation goals by collaboratively developing ecological and other monitoring techniques and building partnerships with local and international researchers.
