Born in the UK, Edwin moved to Africa in his early twenties and has spent the last 30 years living in East and Central Africa. Firstly, operating guided safaris for over 10 years in the West Africa before setting up in Burundi, DRC and Uganda, he has extensive knowledge of operating and delivering management and logistical solutions in remote locations. For the last 12 years, he owned and operated a specialist wildlife fencing company in Tanzania, working with government authorities in areas of Human and Wildlife conflict. Edwin joined African Parks as the Odzala-Kokoua National Park’s Field Operations Manager in June 2024, after working as FOM in Upemba National Park, DRC. He is highly focused on enhancing and developing the Operations teams capacity.
